Keselamatan pengguna jalanraya di sekitar Sungai Siput diancam oleh keadaan jalan yang sangat berbahaya. Khasnya di KM.2 Jalan Sungai Siput keadaan jalan raya yang amat sempit ditambah pula dengan sebuah jambatran yang sempit tanpa sebarang pengadang jalan memburukkan lagi keadaan.

Penduduk di sekitar kawasan Sungai Siput telah membuat banyak aduan tetapi tidak diendahkan.
